Bloody Mary - delicious.
Enchilada soup - YUM YUM YUM. More of a thick broth with chunks of tostadas in it which was nice for crunch and flavor. The artichoke dip was I think the most tastey I have ever had. Great location, the inside was very hip clean and inviting. My waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2472472526Dec 4, 2017
The atmosphere is modern, beautiful, romantic (the lights really need a good cleaning though). The staff was 5 star for us that evening but the food...is lacking, in wanting, not fitting for the atmosphere and rich area it's in. It's sadly just not up to par at all.
My beau and I met up for supper & drinks with friends. I started with the Rosemary Grapefruit mule- which was SO refreshing! Not too sweet, very clean taste with good balance of flavor and alcohol.
My beau and I shared the seafood soup of the day. We both agreed that it was the highlight of our food selection. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese, he went with chicken and brea sandwich. His sandwich was decent in flavor. My lobster Mac honestly tasted like sometimes thrown together from a box and lobster pieces added. Salt and pepper made it a smudge better but it was SO disappointing!
I did request for my Mac to be paired with whatever our server suggested and he brought me the most amazing white wine I have tasted to date! It made consuming the blah Lobster Mac more tolerable. Kudos for our flirtatiously cute waiter for the pairing!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rik O.Minneapolis, MN112865Nov 14, 2017
So, if you read my reviews you will know that I love brunch and I love salads. We were here for brunch with my partners family, we've gone a couple times and the food has been consistently great.
This most recent time the food was also fantastic but the service was as a bit clunky, I think the kitchen was short but it wasn't a big deal at all.
My white bean tuna salad was oh-my-gawd delicious and photogenic.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 2, 2017
Had lunch with the fam and we all noted the cool interior which made use of many different surfaces and had interesting lighting to break up the scene. Service was fair and all enjoyed their meals. I had the cobb salad which was excellent, the Caesar was also great. It's tough to compete in Wayzata with so many top choices, but their organic focus should help. At the least, it's a good 2nd option if Cov, Bajahaus or 6Smiths is jammed.

Well the jury is still out been here twice now the place has great food the spice pallet is spot on the wait staff is very attentive. Rub is both times we have had to send a meal back as it was not prepared as we requested ie: ask for eggs cooked hard and they came out runny. Will have to wait and see will try again always three strikes. Post script Derek our waiter was great he got the problem meal fixed fast and right and brought my wife a carmel roll to take home over all a good eat but they need to get better commucation from order to chef

I first discovered this restaurant because they hosted a monthly meeting that I attend. When one of the owners shared that their menu is about 90% organic (UNHEARD OF!), I leaned in and started paying attention.
The decor is elegant, the service is knowledgeable and kind, and the food...well, the food speaks for itself: it's divine!
I especially get excited when I find out restaurants with real-food-integrity are located outside of Minneapolis & St. Paul proper. It truly blows my mind that the 'burbs in the Twin Cities are still heavily loaded with the commercial chains of bland commodity blech (yes, I'm a tad opinionated on that subject ;-)
They recently purchased a fryer and use rice bran oil (much MUCH better than using canola or soy, as most dining establishments do). Props to them.
In my most recent visit, I chose District to be where I'd celebrate with my birthday meal! Well worth it!
I ordered a gluten-free crust for my pizza and asked if they could modify the toppings since I still react to tomato sauce. You guys, it was so good. Just look at the pic. They also let me choose a birthday dessert, compliments of District Fresh! I chose a Strawberry Mousse. Again, you guys, it was so good.
Everyone I talk to on their staff has been charming and invested in the mission behind District. Truly passionate and connected to this restaurant as a place that goes beyond employment to them.
I will be going back as many times as they'll have me ;-)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kelly W.Minneapolis, MN1474844Nov 4, 2016
We recently tried this place for a date night and we were pleasantly surprised. Service was quick and responsive.
It's upscale, but not so much that a family meal or a casual outfit would be out of place.
The prices are a bit steep, but I tend to expect that from the Wayzata area.
The focus on local and organic is amazing, and there were one try of options for my annoyingly restrictive diet (due to food allergies) including lots of gluten-free options.
I had a delicious salad and tried two of the cocktails on the menu. The Bramble was good, but the strawberry gin drink was amazing!
We'll definitely be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lindsey L.Minneapolis, MN21024Jul 19, 2017
Pretty busy place. However, for $36 Angus filet mignon looks boring and was tasted boring two. Huge disappointment. I guess here is just for sandwiches and burgers those more fast kinds of things. Also ordered beets juice, $5. well, I won't come back

I stumbled on this place on Yelp while looking for a place a little outside of Minneapolis, looking for a good meal without having to fight the downtown traffic. Overall, I was pleased with my meal. I ordered the skirt steak with chimichurri. The chimchurri was extremely good-gave a great herbaceous flavor to the steak, as well as a little kick. The steak was cooked well, and relatively tasty with the chimichurri, but it was not cut correctly, so definitely not as tender as it could have been.
I do not think anyone is going to have their mind blown by the food-it is pretty simple and common. But if you need a good dinner, at a reasonable price, this is a good place to go. Do not let the emptiness around the restaurant scare you away!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mark A.Lake Shore, MN4102922Oct 20, 2017
We were walking by, decided to check out District.
Very contemporary décor. We sat at a booth. Our waitress was a joy.
We split a Caesar salad, the Gnocchi, and the Chilean Sea Bass. The salad was fairly standard. The Gnocchi was tender and delicious, even had walnuts in the mix. The Sea Bass was tender and tasty. The wild rice which accompanied the entrée was OK.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our dinner. We'll definitely be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
